About the Filmmaker
Fiona Collins was born in Blackpool, Lancashire and attended school there before becoming a registered nurse in general medicine and psychiatry. She left nursing to undertake a BA in the History of Design, and later obtained an MA in the History of Design from the Royal College of Art in London. Her first independent documentary was Not Sacks which combined three of her major interests: people, filmmaking and sewing.
